I’m Building My First LOG CABIN With No Experience & Building a New Cabin For Temporary Living

Hello my friends

In this episode I start making the fifth row of logs and start building a small house that I will be staying in temporarily until the main cabin is finished. This way I can stay on my property and the work will go faster. It is a really small house that is only 4 square meters in which I will only have a bed, a stove and a small kitchen.

If you’re wondering why I used screws instead of nails for the small house, it’s because I used fresh boards, which are cheaper than dry boards. when they dry, gaps will appear between them. When the wood is dry, I unscrew the screws, push the boards together and then hammer them in with nails.

I used an electric drill to make some screw holes. Sometimes you will still see me use power tools for some things where I can’t avoid it completely, such as drilling through metal roofing or welding, but otherwise I will always try to use primarily hand tools.
